Golden Smog Limited Edition Vinyl Out Now
A limited edition run of supergroup Golden Smog's 1994 debut, Down By The Old Mainstream, is out today on 2x vinyl via Ryko Analogue.
The group, which is comprised of Jeff Tweedy (Wilco), Gary Louris & Mark Perlman (The Jayhawks), Dan Murphy (Soul Asylum), Kraig Johnson (Run Westy Run) and Noah Levy (Honeydogs), recorded Mainstream in 1994 in only five days. It was made up mostly of original songs written specifically for the project. The songs on the album revealed a fun, spirited sensibility … allowing the band members to let loose from their day jobs.
